RIP Tezza 2006-2007

This is a story of a Paladin that started at level 1, killing boars, wolves, and kobloids.

Then he slowly leveled up and started swinging his mighty hammer at murlocs. In time, he grew to be a very powerful Paladin who could not only deal damage like no other, but also heal his weaker companions when they were seconds away from being destroyed by the hideous orcs’ unsharpened blades.

Over a period of a year, this healing warrior grew to be one of the most feared combatants on in Frostmane. He was feared by Horde, NPCs, and even epic bosses. When he was in the group, the enemy knew they had a problem.

At 2:47 PM on February 16th, 2007, Tezza was sold to a gentleman in Washington for a measly sum of $400.

Big deal you say, I raised this guy from level one to his current status which is no small feat. It took over a year to do. However nerdy you may feel it is, this character was a part of me. I lived in a world as this Tezza character and now it’s over. It’s almost like having a baby, growing and bonding with him until age 2, and then putting him up for adoption.

I pose this question: can a game be too addicting?

  3. Well, to be honest, it was more of just a provocative comment, but my main dislike for Paladins comes from playing them — they feel like a very “slow” class to me when in combat. Not a lot going in, because you only Judge and such every so often, only need to heal so often. In a group, I think Paladins are actually a huge boon, and they’re capable healers, but I could never play one, just because I find them extremely boring. They can definitely be effective, I just don’t like them much because they are, in general, a slow class. Once they get epics, they can kill capably, but I never liked playing a class that had to have epics just to be fun. So that’s basically the source of my comments.

And, just for the record, I played a Tauren Druid and Human Warrior when I played, both which I enjoyed. I’m sure you enjoyed playing your paladin if you took him to 60 and beyond, I could just never get into the class. To each his own, I guess.
