In an odd and unprecedented move (for the Bush administration anyway), Tony Snow was named as the new White House press secretary. He’s more than qualified, of course, but at times he has been a vocal conservative critic of Bush, and a political entity unto himself. Also, he does a radio show, TV show, column, and is fighting colon cancer. Does he have time to be a press secretary too?
I’m a huge fan of Tony Snow (a Cincinnati, Ohio native, by the way), and I wish him the best of luck. I know he will be very successful and certainly more personable than the beleaguered Scott McClellan (who had to choose between a life of hard-drinking or stepping down as press secretary).
