Author: Should J.D. Roth be the next host of The Price is Right?

Here are my opinions regarding J.D. Roth and The Price is Right:
- Bob Barker is one of the best game show hosts ever to grace our televisions. He is the Michael Jordon of game shows. Look how awesome he is.
- As far as I’m concerned, no one can even come close to filling Bob’s shoes on The Price is Right.
- However, the show must go on, and a replacement must be found. The Price is Right will never be the same, of course, but Bob’s legacy will live on.
- A replacement for the show must be someone who has respect for the long traditions of game shows and not merely some B- or C-list celebrity who has never been involved with the game show business. Rosie is (thankfully) not going to be the next host. George Hamilton would not be a good fit.
- J.D. Roth is one of America’s most prominent game show personalities, having been involved with production and starring in a number of successful and beloved game shows including: Fun House, Endurance, The Biggest Loser, Double Up, Beauty and the Geek, and Unan1mous.
- I think J.D. Roth should be given the role of the host of The Price is Right. He would bring a youthful, high energy approach to the show, something that Barker was always able to do, even as a senior. He would respect the institution of the show, and also appeal to an audience who has grown up watching his work. He also would not be “too big” for the show, like certain celebrities would be.
If you believe like I believe, sign the petition for J.D. Roth as the new host of The Price is Right. We can make a difference!

Right now you and I have signed the petition. We need more people to sign the petition. J.D. Roth hasn’t had any media attention about being a possible contender in being Bob Barker’s successor. This petition will help put J.D. Roth in the spotlight. The more signatures we get then the media will mention J.D. Roth as another possible host in the running for The Price is Right. If all goes well, then on the first day of taping on September 1, 2007 of the first show to air on September 10, 2007 of the 36th Season on CBS of The Price is Right announcer Rich Fields might say “..and now here’s the new host of The Price is Right, J.D. Roth!!!”

Marc Summers is an alliterating hack who isn’t even good enough for the Food Network.
I though more people would want a younger host. My second choice would be Todd Newton if J.D. Roth is not the host. Marc Summers is okay as well as Drew Carey, but I’m sticking with J.D. Roth.
But Roth is a redhead. Hiring him would only help reinforce the propagation of that abominable gene.
I sent a message the other day on the feedback of cbs.com and put in a request to Les Moonves to make J.D. Roth the new ‘Price’ host.
J.D. Roth is… the light of my life. I know I speak for the others when I say he is… so amazing… He’s just a one of a kind… I wish I could know him more, you know? I think about him all the time, and… well, I’m wondering – should we kill him?

JD Roth? You have go to be flippin’ kidding me! JD doesn’t even deserve to be considered among those being considered as possibilities for an audition. “Fun House,” and “Beauty And the Geek?” Those aren’t even real game shows…No man with a mullet and hosted shows wearing blue jeans will ever host the Price is Right!
If JD Roth gets the job as host of The Price is Right he might change his wardrobe to look more professional on camera. He has a gotee that makes look very distictive from all the other possible canidates. Anyways, we want someone that will not copycat Bob Barker, and JD Roth will bring a new era of younger viewers to The Price is Right.
Drew Carey is going to be the host. The online petition should be removed by now. If JD Roth were the host, the ‘Price’ models would still be known as “Beauties”. They would have been “JD’s Beauties”. Anyway, the models will be known as “Carey’s Cutties” which sounds better than “Drew’s Beauties”. Congrats to Drew!!!
