It looks like Comedy Central indeed forced South Park not to show Muhammed. Michelle Malkin has posted the official Comedy Central response. Here is an excerpt:
Comedy Central’s belief in the First Amendment has not wavered, despite our decision not to air an image of Muhammad. Our decision was made not to mute the voices of Trey and Matt or because we value one religion over any other.
This decision was based solely on concern for public safety in light of
recent world events.
I guess in order to get Comedy Central to stop making fun of Jesus and Christianity (not just South Park by the way), that us Christians have got to start rioting and burning and killing. I think the Scientoligists should just get some torches and go and attack the nearest Time Warner (or Comcast or whoever) office.
I don’t watch a lot of Comedy Central anyway, but that pretty much puts an end to it.
This is bad news for kids in wheelchairs. Let me explain: In order for us to continue making fun of those we wish, we’re gonna have to outlaw all religions. Without religions to make fun of, all we’ll have are kids in wheelchairs. The good news there is they can’t complain – because they can’t drive to the protests. Scary times…
Even worse, we’d have to start making fun of atheists and agnostics!
Yeah, make fun of science and rational thinking – that’ll help your case.
I didn’t say rational thinking, I said athiesm/agnosticism. OOH BURN! Let the reign of terror begin!
In Soviet Russia, Atheists don’t believe in you!
In Soviet Russia, Jesus kills YOU for your sins.
Did I ever mention the orginal “In Soviet Russia…” joke yet…?
I don’t think the joke you told us is the original, but it makes more sense now that I think about it:
“In California, you can always find a party. In Soviet Russia, Party always finds you!”
Play on words of “party” versus “The Party”
In Soviet Russia, joke tells Yakov Smirnoff!
