You can now add comments! Here’s the lowdown:
- 1000 characters or less
- No HTML tags. They will all be stripped
- No passwords required. This is a double edged sword: you won’t be bothered or bugged for remembering your login information. However, there’s no guarantee that anyone will not use your username. We’ll see how it goes, but I don’t think my blog is important enough to require actual user accounts yet. Plus, it’s easier for programming!
- Only I can use ‘default’ for my username. This is how you will know it is me making comments or responses to your comments.
- One bug in the comment system: a long text string with no spaces will break the formatting of the page. I’m working on this, but I haven’t got an easy solution yet. Let me know if you have any ideas.
- I reserve the right to delete any comment I want for any reason. However, I intend to only delete obnoxious or abusive comments. I won’t delete your comment because I disagree with you.
Looks like bugmenot.com is down! Quite a coincidence that it goes down the same day I link to it on my blog.
Looks like bugmenot.com is back up! I guess it wasn’t a vast conspiracy after all! Exclamation points!
Just for the record, I no longer reserve “default” for myself and if you type in a URL, it will be converted to a link automatically.
